Said to be home to the Drake family from 1415 to 1793, but more research is required here. Ashe House was probably at its peak around 1750, when it was a substantial “E” shaped building. All that exists now is one spur of the “E” and the chapel, which is believed to date from 1387. In due course we hope to show here a complete history of Ashe House, as complete, that is, as records will tell us….
